ABOUT
My name is Karen, owner/operator of Karen's Pet Kare! I've had a love for animals as long as I can remember.
Growing up we had dogs and cats, and as an adult I've had two of my own - Miley, and now Sasha.
Since starting my business over ten years ago, I've had the privilege of serving Montclair and surrounding areas. I love spending time in nature with my canine friends on the beautiful east bay trails!
I'm Dog Walking Academy Certified, licensed and insured, permitted with the East Bay Regional Parks.

Karen is wonderful! I met Karen 6 years ago when my labradoodle, Charlie, was a puppy....Charlie absolutely loves her. He jumps up and down as soon as he sees her car in the driveway. Karen love dogs and is very experienced. On walks she has helped with Charlie's training. I have found Karen to be very caring, responsible and dependable. Charlie and I are very happy to have Karen in our lives. I highly recommend her.

Karen is an absolute GEM! She walked/hiked my German Shepherd for 4 years and Leo loved her. He's an anxious and fearful dog who's slow to warm up to people, and Karen was so wonderful with him. She was patient and kind and caring, and treated my boy as if he was her own. Karen felt like part of our little family and Leo always came home exhausted and happy.... Karen is also incredibly communicative and timely with her responses....She was very flexible with my/Leo's needs and willing to do whatever she could to make sure we were both happy. My biggest regret moving out of the area is losing Karen as a dogwalker for my Leo. She set the bar high, and I still haven't found a walker who's comparable to her. Leo and I love Karen!

Karen is so great! We love her, our dogs love her....She is reliable, responsible, full of energy and willing and able to get our dogs out for a good hour of exercise. Our dogs are tired and happy. It's so great. FYI she did both leashed and off-leash walks for us. I highly recommend her.

Karen is a wonderful dog walker and trainer. She walks my dog, Loki, daily, working with him on his manners as well as exercising him. She is conscientious, caring, and very, very knowledgeable about dogs, dog behavior, and applicable municipal and county laws (e.g., leash laws, liability, etc.). I trust her implicitly with my dog, and my dog LOVES her.

Karen has boarded our dog for both short and long vacations. She is amazing! Harvey.....has been so well-cared for and loved every time he has stayed with her.... Karen has a lovely, bright and clean home with easy outdoor access for the dogs to frolic and play.... It's clear that Karen loves what she does and her canine guests sense that about her. It is a huge relief to find someone with whom I feel 100% comfortable leaving Harvey. I highly recommend Karen's Pet Kare!

SERVICES & RATES
Group Hikes:

Small dogs, well socialized, low prey drive, under 40 lbs with good recall.

Includes pickup/drop off and 60 minutes of fun filled adventures on an East Bay trail. Outings average 2-3 hours.

My goal is to provide enrichment, socialization, fun and adventure, returning your pup happy and tired.

Minimum two walks per week.

Service area includes Upper Rockridge, Montclair, Shepherd Canyon, Upper Piedmont, Upper Glenview, Oakmore.

$40 per hike, monthly billed subscription.
Boarding:
-
For small adult dogs current on vaccines, and with good indoor manners, well socialized and potty-trained.

Your dog is part of the family, has full run of the house and fenced-in front yard, and will get lots of TLC.
-
$80/per night (24 hours) includes a trail walk. Trial night required to ensure it's a great fit.
